Updates About Surveys and Tasks Mid-Feb 2025
It is mid-February 2025, and I am still loving my experience with Prolific.com. If I average out my totals so far, I have earned about $140 per month consistently for 90 days. This isn’t everything I earn, but it is the most significant part of what supplements my fixed income so far. Since I added a Ko-Fi donation button, some lovely people have shown kindness, empathy, and gratitude. I also have a few other survey sites, but they are difficult to earn from because I am not an ideal consumer.
There is one site I do want to talk up. At first, I noticed the occasional $1 and $5 payments to my PayPal. It turns out that one site emails me with tasks and surveys. Many of the tasks I qualify for take between 5–20 minutes. So far, halfway through February 2025, it has added up to a whopping $17. Typically, this platform pays out 14 days after an activity, with no minimum. They don’t seem to have a referral or affiliate program, but I don’t mind sharing this gem with you! Check out Usertesting.com.
I had one pretty good outcome this month that I set up last month. I applied for and got into a “high-paying study.” It involved recording 10–20-minute videos in response to multiple questions. In total, I spent about five hours over two different days. The compensation was $120, but I was not able to cash it out to my bank. Instead, I had to take it as an Amazon gift card. I got some cat food and other essentials that I had been doing without. I still would have liked the cash, but at least now I have wool socks and an electric blanket. You can check them out with my referral code at User Interviews.
I launched a shop at Ko-Fi, and now I need to design more stuff to sell there. Ko-Fi is a nifty platform that allows creators to receive support through one-time donations, memberships, and even an integrated shop feature. Originally created as a way for creators to receive small donations (as if buying them a coffee), Ko-Fi has since expanded into a versatile platform for funding creative work. I am using it as a tip jar, but I also want to explore its shop function to sell digital downloads, including artwork and designs. I plan to keep my offerings simple, starting with a few meaningful designs, and expanding as I go. If you’d like to support me or check out my shop, you can find me on Ko-Fi! My Ko-Fi Shop!
